Emeka Rollas apologises to Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko over 2025 remarks

“I am sorry.” Three words, posted almost 11 months after the statement that started it. Former Actors Guild of Nigeria president Emeka Rollas has apologised to Senator Ned Nwoko, actress Regina Daniels and her mother, Rita Daniels, in an Instagram post on Thursday, 8 October 2026.

The Emeka Rollas apology goes beyond the Daniels family. He also named the guild’s Board of Trustees and seven colleagues, including Okey Bakassi, Jide Kosoko and Chinyere Wilfred, whom he had called out in November 2025.

He did not take back everything. Rollas wrote that he may still hold some of his convictions, but regrets “the timing, the platform and the manner” in which he spoke.

No reply from Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels or Rita Daniels appeared in the post’s visible comments, and Pulse Nigeria and Legit.ng both reported no response from them on Thursday.
