Miley Cyrus tops Billboard 200 again, 13 years after Bangerz

Thirteen years after Bangerz, Miley Cyrus has another No 1 album in America. Bass Persuades debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 with 61,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Thursday, 24 September 2026, according to Billboard figures reported by Arise News.

Most of that came from people buying the record. Album sales made up 47,000 units, streaming added 14,000 (about 14.22 million on-demand streams), and track sales barely registered.

It was tight at the top. Ella Langley’s Dandelion also landed at about 61,000 units in second place, and Riley Green’s That’s Just Me was a thousand behind on 60,000.

How did Miley Cyrus win the Billboard 200 this week?

Sales carried it. Bass Persuades came out in 32 editions: 16 on vinyl, nine on CD, six as digital downloads and one on cassette, several with bonus tracks, according to the chart breakdown reported by Arise News.

The rest of the top five were close behind. Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem was fourth on 58,000 and Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love fifth on 55,000, so just 6,000 units separated first from fifth.

Billboard’s 61,000 is a blend of sales and streaming-equivalent units, not a count of listeners. Streaming was the soft spot. The title single entered Spotify’s global chart at No 23 in early September and was gone within three days, Geo News reported.
