Zlatan sets 24 October wedding date with Davita in son-voiced video

Rapper Zlatan Ibile has named the day. In a save-the-date video posted on Instagram at about 10:20pm WAT on Thursday, 8 October 2026, the singer and his partner Davita revealed that the Zlatan wedding will take place on Saturday, 24 October 2026.

The caption was just the date, “24 October 2026”, a ring emoji and the hashtag #DTTheUnion. The voice on the clip belongs to one of the couple’s two sons, who says that when he thinks about love, he thinks about his mummy and daddy, according to Vanguard.

It is a big turn for a couple who spent much of this year batting away marriage questions. Only nine months ago, Zlatan was telling fans that Davita was the mother of his children, not his wife.

When is Zlatan’s wedding to Davita?

Zlatan and Davita will marry on Saturday, 24 October 2026, 16 days after the announcement. As of 10:30am WAT on Friday, 9 October, neither of them had named a venue, a city or the type of ceremony, and the only detail shared beyond the date was the #DTTheUnion hashtag.

Zlatan, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, posted the reel as a joint post with Davita’s own account, @privatevita. Davita Lamai now uses the name Davita Omoniyi on that account, where her bio describes her as the founder of Naiandlo.

• 26 July 2026: on a private jet heading to music executive Soso Soberekon’s wedding, singer Teni introduced Davita as Zlatan’s wife and announced that the couple would hold a wedding. Davita invited everyone on board.
• 8 October 2026: the save-the-date video fixes the day as 24 October.

So the October date looks like the big public celebration of a marriage that, by most reports, already exists on paper. The couple have not said that in their own words yet.

When GistMatrix checked the reel at about 10:30am WAT on Friday, 9 October, roughly 12 hours after it went up, it had 271,172 likes and more than 12,600 comments. Zlatan’s account had about 7.2 million followers at the time; Davita’s had about 100,000.
