RJ Mitte, the actor who played Walter White Jr. on Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 34. His representative confirmed the death late on Monday, 12 October 2026 (Nigerian time), and later told People magazine that he died by suicide.

The first statement, carried by ABC News, spoke of the “tragic passing” of a “beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate”. Police in Brownsville, Texas, found him at his home after a call at 12:50pm local time on Monday, Variety reported, citing People. Away from Breaking Bad, he had a recurring role in Switched at Birth in 2014, voiced Mind Master in Netflix’s The Guardians of Justice in 2022, modelled for Gap and walked for Vivienne Westwood.
